David Copeland chartered Copelands Inc in 1965 and began operations with one buzz-box welder and an acetylene cutting torch. He has remained active in the business each day. |

Mike Copeland was first employed at Copelands Inc while he was still in high school in 1968, and has remained active in the business since then. |

Roger Benton has been in the metal fabrication industry since 1972. Includes fabrication, engineering, and estimating. Participated in detailing and project scheduling for international manufacturer as a project engineer. Also worked as a consulting engineer to coordinate fabrication and installation of rotating equipment in a European industrial facility before joining Copelands in 1987. Professional membership in American Welding Society. |

Mike Marlin has been in the metal fabrication industry since 1965. Participated in design, fabrication, erection, and inspection of AWWA-D100, API 620 and 650 tanks, and ASME Section I, III and VIII pressure vessels. Extensive experience in engineering maintenance, operations and quality assurance from Detroit Edison's Fermi II Nuclear Power Plant (1120 MWe BWR) and TVA's Sequoyah I NPP (1250 MWe Pwr). Certified AWS CWI, ANSI N45.2.23 Lead Auditor and NDE Level III Examiner PT, MT and RT. Professional memberships include American Welding Society and the American Nuclear Society. Joined Copelands in 1991. |

Will Copeland, the fourth generation of Copelands, joined us in 2007. Graduate from the McCallie School in Chattanooga. He has a BA in Economics from Sewanee: University of the South, where he graduated summa cum laude. Will also graduated with a MA in Economics from Ohio State University, where he was a Distinguished University Fellow.
Will has worked as a research assistant at the Center for Human Resources in Columbus, OH and the Ohio State Dept of Economics before joining Copelands. |
